What is it?<\/h1>\n
It’s basically a bin used to keep smaller items such as screws, nuts and bolts, and other small items that you don’t really need to keep accurate count of inventory.<\/p>\n
Each work station would have a bucket of these things that would periodically be refilled. These bins would typically be vendor managed inventory or they would just tell the purchaser to buy more by eyeballing how much they have.<\/p>\n
I mean, who really has the time to do a physical count on loose screws?<\/p>\n
It’s used when part of the production item has Forward\/backward flushing setup. Items like these do not need to be picked on the pick ticket<\/p>\n
You can define this on the machine center\/work center as well. Each work\/machine center should have a bucket of these items that you don’t really need to pick, but are stocked at each station.<\/p>\n
